It’s been a while since I’ve written. I apologize to my readers…if there are any of you out there. My outdoor adventures have been pushed off for the last few months. I decided to take a leap of faith and start the adventure of going back to school. As with everything I do, I decided to take school with 100% effort. In the fall semester, I took 16 credit hours and in the spring semester, I just finished 22 credits. Some of you may be thinking, “What was she thinking?!?!” The thing is, I don’t know. I just felt like it was something that I should do, so I did it.
My life has been insanely busy and crazy, but I have still had time to have some outdoor adventures. I went to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park last August. I also went rock climbing for the first time… okay, so it was a rock wall, but everyone starts somewhere, right? I will blog about all of those adventures, I promise. Oh, and I also plan on having a ton of outdoor adventures in the next couple of months. We’ve had record-breaking moisture in Utah this winter. It’s even snowed about 12 inches since the beginning of April. Needless to say, the mountains may be off limits to hikers for a little bit longer this year than they usually are. I hope not. After being in school for the last 8 months I’m ready to be outside again!
Ooh yeah! Before I forget, ODEE World, the best outdoor clothing company in the world, is hosting an outdoor expo at the Sandy Expo Center on May 13 and 14, 2011. It will be so incredible! Check them out at http://thegoexpo.com/!
Even in the busiest of days, I still appreciate the beautiful world that we have the opportunity to live in. Here is a recent picture that I took. It looks like a beautiful watercolor. I'm so grateful for the beauty that always shows itself on dark and stormy nights.
